With the import of the February 2024 service pack (expected to be available from February 15, 2024), AEB will end support for the "Sybase SQL Anywhere" database for all trade compliance products operated on-premise.
These include Compliance Screening, Export Controls, License Management, and Risk Assessment. It will no longer be possible to run these products on the "Sybase SQL Anywhere" database as of February 2024.
- Customers using products in AEB's data center are not affected.
This is how you determine if this end of support concerns you:
Your system administrator can check your on-premise system to see if you are still using "Sybase SQL" Anywhere as your database. To find the relevant setting, go to Administration -> System -> Settings and check the Database field group:
- If “Sybase SQL Anywhere” is entered in the Type field, you must switch the database before the February 2024 service pack is installed. Your options are "Microsoft SQL Server" or "Oracle".
This is how the change can be made:
You can perform the database switch yourself or commission AEB.
To do this, please submit a request in the AEB Help Center. You must commission this by November 1, 2023 at the latest. AEB may not be able to punctually process tickets received later than that.
It may also be worthwhile to consider a move to the AEB Cloud. Contact us so that we can provide you with information about the possibilities.
