AEB will end the use of ASSIST4 on December 31, 2026.
We recommend the transformation to a successor solution.
Until the end of use of ASSIST4 is reached, the following will apply:
ASSIST4 Roadmap
Support
General support services and individually negotiated service level agreements (SLAs) remain valid until December 31, 2026. After this date, AEB will no longer provide service and support for ASSIST4.
ASSIST4 active maintenance until December 31, 2024
Reported or internally found malfunctions will be delivered as part of active maintenance via a monthly standard service pack and from August 2024 via a quarterly feature pack (February, May, August, November). AEB will provide the necessary information.
ASSIST4 passive maintenance as from January 1, 2025
Malfunctions will be rectified if they are reported. For such circumstances, there will still be standard service packs.
Security updates will be provided.
Functional further development of ASSIST4
Only mandatory functional features, such as ATLAS release changes as well as
security and operational adjustments, will be implemented. The further development of new functionalities has been discontinued.
Individual further development
Individual adaptations or extensions (such as licenses) can be implemented in isolated cases (to ensure ongoing operations or support the transformation process). This requires that you accept the updated contract terms. However, AEB reserves the right to no longer realize certain implementations in the context of the ongoing transformation.
Technical enhancements & support of third-party products
The ASSIST4 system requirements for cloud and on-premises retain the status as of November 2023.

Newer versions, e.g. windows 11, will not be supported by ASSIST4.
A general extension of the use of ASSIST4 after 2026 is not planned.
Continued use of the application (On-Premises) is not contractually permitted after December 31, 2026. Systems hosted in the AEB data center will be shut down on the specified date.
The right to extended use of the software can only be requested in extraordinary circumstances and at a reduced service level for 2027 and 2028. Such extended use is subject to additional charges that include a surcharge on the 2026 price of at least 25% in 2027 and at least 50% in 2028.
If you wish to request extended use, you must notify AEB by September 30, 2026 at the latest. AEB reserves the right to consent to extended use.
