HMRC guidance on CDS departure messages

Exporters using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) need a departure message to confirm the movement of goods. Some exporters are not getting this message, so their goods are not receiving departure status. The Customs Declaration Service will not assume a departure.

If an export declaration (using a GVMS port) has not received completed status, and no PoE document has been generated, the DMSEOG message has not been received from CDS.

HMRC has issued a reminder to exporters on what they need to do if they export goods from Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS) ports.
