To enter commodity code information to a declaration, go to the Items tab and open (or create) an item.
From the Commodity code section, enter the Comm. code. This can be typed in directly, searched for by clicking the search icon, or pasted from an external source.
If, based on the commodity code, a statistical quantity is required, the box will change to yellow to indicate it is required. The value is entered as a free text field.
Chemical CUS codes are only required for certain commodities. Refer to the HMRC trade tariff for guidance.
Add. codes (TARIC) are only required for certain movements. Refer to the HMRC trade tariff for guidance. If more than one TARIC code is required, they can be entered with a comma separator.
Nat. add. codes are only required for certain movements. Refer to the HMRC trade tariff for guidance. Select the pencil icon to open a new window and then select the required Type from the list. Click Add if other codes are required, then click OK to return to the main screen.
