Changeover by 31.12.2026
If you are using the Connectivity Service from AEB, a changeover by December 31, 2026, is mandatory.
Find out if you are using the Connectivity Service
- On the Windows server/client, click on Run in the Windows Start menu (or Windows key + R), enter services.msc and click OK (alternatively, you can search for “Services” in the Windows search).
- If the “AEB ConnectivityServices” service is in the list and is active, then you are using Connectivity Services.
- By default, the Connectivity Service is installed under C:\Program Files\AEB-CS and the administration interface can be started in the \bin subdirectory with the “Administration” link.
Are you still using the AEB Connectivity Service?
- Make sure that the changeover for the following solutions and connection scenarios takes place by December 31, 2026:
SFT data exchange
As the Connectivity Service is used to transfer data via SFT, you must switch to data exchange via SFTP in this case.
Service costs are incurred for the setup. Request a quote for this by email to customercare@aeb.com.
Add-ons for SAP® – Print Service
The Connectivity Service supports the printing function of PDF documents in add-ons for SAP® via Print Service. To find out if you are using Print Service, simply follow the steps in this guide.
AEB recommends printing manually from the AEB application or the SAP monitor. Alternatively, you can implement direct printing from SAP® in your system.
SAP® – Changeover of RFC connection to web service
The SAP® system communicates via RFC. The protocol is converted to a web service for calling the AEB Cloud or an on-premises AEB Engine.
You can make the changeover to the web service yourself in your SAP® system. Details on how to carry out the changeover can be found in the corresponding Installation and Configuration Guide.
Contact us if you need help with the changeover.
ASSIST4 on-premises
With the proxy functionality between ASSIST4 and services such as ATLAS, the Connectivity Service translates HTTP calls into HTTPS calls.
The changeover will take place as part of the transformation from ASSIST4 to AEB cloud solutions.
ASSIST4 also has a direct proxy that you can temporarily switch to. Contact us if you need support with the changeover.
