Your AEB application can automatically notify concerned parties or persons in charge by email when specific definable events occur. Your AEB application lets you define who should be notified and with which message.
- The e-mails are sent unencrypted.
Proceed as follows to configure notifications of events
You must have the I_CLIENTADMIN role.
If you wish to use your own notification text differing from the default text, you have already entered it:

- Go to Master data – Notification config..
- Click the New button.
- Configure your notification. You can follow the Assistant prompts.
- After you have selected a context, you can define in the Event field for which event notifications are to be sent.
- Instead of the default text, you can use your own notification text. Disable the Use standard text option. Then select a notification text you have entered before from the list in the Notification text field.
- After you have selected a context, you can define in the Event field for which event notifications are to be sent.
- Define the other settings for the recipient and the language.
- If necessary define settings for the conditions under which these notifications are to be triggered.
- If you configure more than one notification in a notification configuration, the first notification whose event and defined conditions are present is sent. Any subsequent notifications are ignored.
- When you have finished configuring the notification, mark the Active checkbox and confirm that you wish to activate the notification.
- This activates the new notification.
- Finish by clicking Save & Close.
Configuring personalized notification texts
Notification texts can be configured in various languages deviating from the standard. You can even define various texts for each language with different information for different recipients, for example.
You must have the I_CLIENTADMIN role.
- Go to Master data – Notification messages.
- Click the New button or open an existing notification text from the overview. If required, select the type of the notification text.
- Enter the required date. For a new notification text, follow the Assistant prompts.
- Use the Context and Event fields to define whether the notification text should be restricted to specific transactions or objects and the related events.
- Use the Default language field to define the language in which the notification text should be sent if no text has been defined for the language of the recipient.
- In the Templates field group, click the New button to enter one or more notification texts.
- Disable the Use standard text checkbox if you wish to create your own text for the currently selected language.
- Enable the Released checkbox so that the notification texts can be used for notifications.
- Finish by clicking Save & Close.
Activate or deactivate notifications
You can temporarily activate or deactivate notifications without the need to delete them.
You must have the I_CLIENTADMIN role.
- Go to Master data – Notification config..
- Open an entry in the overview.
- Mark or unmark the Active checkbox.
- Finish by clicking Save & close.
