How do I assign SumA items to different EZAs?

If you receive a summary declaration (SumA) from your customs office and you would like to enter it in different customs declarations, you have the option of splitting the SumA in Import Filing: ATLAS.

Go to Office > Import > Declarations > Summary declarations. Open the summary declaration with the status of confirmed. When the item is selected, go to the Split menu and select the option to Split item.

Click OK to confirm that the open item will be completely written off, and a new summary declaration will be created.

You will now see a new summary declaration in the overview containing two items. Add the number and type of packages as well as the gross weights to this information.

• As long as you haven't yet sent the new split summary declaration to your customs office, you can reverse your split by selecting Undo splitting from the Split menu. Your newly created split summary declaration will then be deleted, and the remaining quantity of the split items will be reset.

Send the split summary declaration (SumA) to your customs office with the CUSPCS customs message and you will receive confirmation from them. You can now report the new summary declaration items to customs in different customs declarations and write them off.
