GVMS: The Goods Movement Record and Export declaration fields – AEB Help Center

The table below gives an overview of the declaration references that need to be added to the GMR, the additional information required for each GVMS movement in a CHIEF or CDS Export declaration and the status of the declaration that needs to be reached before a GMR can be created.

CHIEF Export declaration	Declaration types: (SAD box 1) Goods going through: (A): Arrived Full Export declaration (C): Arrived Simplified declaration (D): Pre-lodged Full Export declaration (F): Pre-lodged Simplified declaration Transport mode at border must be 6 multi-modal transport (SAD box 25). Location of Goods must be a GVMS location (SAD box 30). At this time, the list of approved GVMS location codes for CHIEF is still to be published by HMRC. *Additional Information type: RRS01 on header level with no text (SAD box 44). Additional Information type: TRANS on header level with no text (SAD box 44) only if goods are shipping under transit. Status of CHIEF Export declaration Arrived declarations: Released Pre-lodged: Accepted Status of Transit declaration: Released
CDS Export declaration (Not yet supported)	Currently CDS Exports is not supported until a CDS bug is fixed for arrived exports, or the Dual Running Phase 2 is implemented for the CSPs which is required for the pre-lodgement model (GVMS locations). For completeness, the following information is applicable once CDS Export is live for ICI: Declaration types: (DE 1/2) (A) Arrived Standard customs declaration (B): Arrived Simplified declarations on occasional basis (C): Arrived Simplified declaration with regular use (pre-authorised) (D): Pre-lodged Standard customs declaration (E): Pre-lodged Simplified declarations on occasional basis (F): Pre-lodged Simplified declaration with regular use (pre-authorised) Transport mode at border must be 6 multi-modal transport (DE 7/4). Holder of the authorisation identification number must be EXRR followed by EORI of exporter (DE 3/39): for arrived export declarations where no CSE authorisation is held. Location of Goods must be a GVMS location (DE 5/23): list of approved GVMS location codes for CDS. *Additional Information type: RRS01 on header level with haulier EORI or name (if EORI not known) in text (DE 2/2). Additional Information type: TRANS on item level with COL code of customs office supervising the transit movement in text (DE 2/2). This additional information type should not be used for excise goods. Status of CDS export declaration: Arrived: Released Pre-lodged: Registered not arrive Status of Transit declaration: Released
