Finishing and sending the application for an export license

Proceed as follows:

• You must be logged in as an administrator (I_ADMIN role) or have the LM master data maintenance role.
  The I_ADMIN role is available only with on-premise installations.
1. Enter any missing basic data. The Assistant provides support here.
2. Click the Open transaction form button or the link in the Assistant pane.
   • The transaction form opens.
3. On the Transaction sheet, add the required information. The Assistant provides support here as well. The Complete with data from template button gives you the option of applying a template to complete empty fields.
   • Fields that you have already filled are not overwritten in the process.
   • You can save an email address in the E-mail notification field. An email is sent to this address each time a new message is received from BAFA about this ELAN-K2 transaction.
     The From master data button lets you select a company from your Companies master data to complete the information on companies and recipients.
4. You can add more data as needed on the sheets for the national supplements and on the Additional declaration for munitions sheet. If you do not see these sheets, then no data is required.
5. The Attachments sheet lets you add various documents to the transaction as attachments. Attachments must be in the PDF, TIF, or TXT format. Begin by filling in the basic data. Then, click the Upload file button to upload the file.
6. When you are finished entering data and the Assistant confirms that your data is complete, click the Save & close button to close the transaction form.
   • This brings you back to the ELAN-K2 transaction.
7. Now you can click the link in the Assistant pane to review a PDF preview of your application.
8. Finally, click again on the link in the Assistant pane to send the application to BAFA.
   • License Management sets the processing status to Waiting for BAFA and closes the ELAN-K2 transaction.
9. Leave the ELAN-K2 transaction closed so that the preliminary and final transaction number can be read in.
