HMRC have confirmed that from 4 March 2024 all businesses will be able to move all of their export declarations from CHIEF to CDS. This includes declarations for all goods that move through all routes - including inventory linked maritime locations. HMRC recommend that the move of export declarations to CDS take place as soon as able to do so.
AEB have started the move of customers to CDS and many customers have booked their time slots in March. As a result, we now have no further time slots available for March, and have now opened up April to complete the migration for remaining customers. The end of April is the AEB deadline for moving all of our remaining CHIEF Export customers to CDS.
If you are a customer who has not yet selected a time slot for your migration to CDS for export declarations, it is important that you take urgent action. Now is the time to complete your testing and book your time slot with our CDS Migration Team. If you do not complete your testing and migration before the end of April, you may face a situation whereby you will be unable to send export declarations from your AEB software.
