The Czech Counter-Terrorism Sanctions List (Nařízení vlády č. 210/2008 Sb.) was added to AEB's portfolio of restricted party lists in November 2023. What is the meaning of this restricted party list?
The Czech Counter-Terrorism Sanctions List is published by the Financial Analytical Office (Finanční Analytický Úřad, FAU). The FAU is an administrative office with nationwide jurisdiction serving as the financial intelligence unit (FIU) of the Czech Republic. The sanctions are Czech national sanctions, which supplement the sanctions of the European Union consolidated in the CFSP list.
The list contains individuals and organisations against whom sanctions in the area of Trade and Services, Financial Services and Financial Markets have been imposed to combat terrorism. It is prohibited to provide goods, services or activities specified in § 5 par. 1 let. b), d), e) and in § 5 par. 2 of Act No. 69/2006 Coll., on the Implementation of International Sanctions to the listed persons and organisations.

Which companies should screen against the Czech Counter-Terrorism Sanctions List?
The screening against this list is relevant for companies incorporated under or subject to Czech law. Moreover, other companies may choose to conduct the denied party screening against this Czech Sanctions List if, for example, their corporate compliance policies or contractual obligations require them to do so.
Do you need to license this list if you use third-party content in Compliance Screening?
If you screen your business partners against restricted party list content from third parties – such as Reguvis or Dow Jones – in your AEB Compliance Screening application, the Czech Counter-Terrorism Sanctions List may already be included in your content.
