Existing PLDA export templates need to be converted so they compatible with AES export declaration requirements. AEB provide a template converter for this process.
- Existing PLDA templates will remain unchanged after the conversion.
- All values that are the same in PLDA and AES will be transferred to new templates.
- Values that are no longer applicable under AES will, where possible, be transferred to valid AES values, or be skipped if an unambiguous conversion is not possible.
- An overview listing templates that could not be converted, and values that could not be transferred, is provided after the conversion, as a CSV file for download.
- Mapping tables are not covered by the template conversion. If you have mapping tables, e.g. for document types, please make sure to check and adapt them manually.
Note: It is your responsibility to check all templates and the data within them. You may wish to modify and add to your templates based on the new requirements.
To convert PLDA templates to be compatible with AES, follow the steps below.
- Go to Master data > Templates > Exp. decl. templates.
- From the Export declaration templates menu, select Template conversion.
- Set Conversion to 'Export BE: PLDA -> AES'.
- Choose a Prefix for the new templates, or retain the default Prefix of 'AES_'. The prefix will be added to the initials of any AES templates created by the template conversion process. This prefix enables you to distinguish between PLDA and AES templates.
- Click Convert.
- Once the conversion process is completed, the Download conversion information button will become active, and the conversion details can be downloaded as a CSV file.
- Thoroughly check the conversion information file to identify which conversions could not be carried out and make sure to make any manual adjustments where necesssary. As noted above, the mapping tables are not included in the conversion process. If you have mapping tables e.g. for document types, please make sure to check and adapt them manually.
