Which Security Options are Available in an NCTS5 BE Transit Declaration?

The Security field, located on the Customs details tab, determines whether or not a declaration is used for safety and security purposes.

In NCTS5 there are only two options permitted for a transit declaration.

• 0 - Used to declare that the transit departure is not used for safety and security purposes.
• 2 - Used to declare that the transit departure declaration contains Exit Summary Declaration (EXS) data which is used for safety and security purposes.
