The Location of goods section of the transit declaration relates to where the goods will depart from, and what type of location they depart from. The Location of goods section is found on the Customs details tab of the transit departure declaration.
NCTS5 requires a Qualifier to be added for the location. The Qualifier is the means you will use to provide the exact locations, such as Address, UN/LOCODE etc. The following country specific location of goods Types and Qualifier are permitted.
For NCTS (DVA) the following location of goods Types and Qualifier are permitted:
| NCTS5 (DVA) Location Type / Qualifier | NCTS4 Equivalent |
| Type 'A' and Qualifier 'T' for normal procedure | Customs Subplace |
| Type 'B' and Qualifier 'T' for simplified procedure (requires the C521 authorisation) | Authorised Location |
For these location types, the Postal code field of the Address data group needs to be completed.
