How do I export and import templates?

Templates can be exported and imported between systems so that templates created and tested in the test system can be copied to the production system. Template selectors can also be exported and imported.

Exporting a template

To export a template, follow the steps below:

• From the Office menu, go to Master data and select Templates.
  
• Select the option for export declaration templates or import declaration templates.
• Select the required template to be exported.
• From the Export declaration templates menu (or, for an import template, the Import declaration templates menu) select Generate template data file.
  
• An XML file will be created in your downloads folder. The filename will consist of 'templates-' and the title displayed in the initials field (e.g. templates-BasicData.xml).

Importing a template

To import a template, follow the steps below:

• From the Office menu, go to Master data and select Templates.
  
• Select the option for export declaration templates or import declaration templates.
  
• From the Export declaration templates menu (or, for an import template, the Import declaration templates menu) choose Import template data file.
  
• Select the template XML file to be imported.
• The template will then be shown in the list.
