Preparing the import of transports into the SAP system

Inform your base administrators of the details below before importing transports to avoid errors.

• The first two points are also relevant if you are using the add-on package and importing service packages via SPAM.
• Do not import any transports if the AEB components have already been imported into the SAP system using the add-on installation tool (SAINT or SPAM). Otherwise, the system will become inconsistent.

Please note the following to avoid locking problems, program terminations, etc.:

• Before the import, all jobs that run AEB programs must be deactivated.
• The import must not take place while data and documents are being created. This point is optional if it is ensured that the system does not activate any processes in the AEB add-on.
• Both the base and product-specific transports must be imported.
• The imports must be performed in the following order:
• First, the base must be imported completely, then the product transports can be imported in parallel.
• If you want to import transports for the build as well as transports for service packs, this must happen in the described order.
