At the beginning of June 2023, UPS changed the authorization for its web services (Access Point, Dangerous Goods, Paperless Document, and Quantum View). Previously, the web services were licensed via access keys. In the future, licensing will take place via a virtual token that needs to be requested from UPS via the web service. In addition, the UPS web services must be converted to the REST format.
Schedule
The changeover to the new authorization must be completed by August 5, 2024. After this date, it will no longer be possible to use the above-mentioned UPS web services with the old access keys.
- End of 1st quarter 2024: Integration of the new UPS web service authorization and conversion to the REST format in the applications by AEB.
- April 2024: Second mailing from AEB regarding the changeover and the next steps.
- April/May 2024: Changeover of your AEB applications to the new UPS authorization.
- August 5, 2024: Old web services can no longer be used.
Update April 16, 2024
