On-premises: Migration to the AEB Cloud

• AEB will successively terminate on-premises systems
• The goal: By December 31, 2026 at the latest, AEB will only operate cloud applications
• As of 2024, 90 percent of our customers already use a cloud solution from AEB
• The AEB Cloud stands for higher data security, technological advantages, and more features

Most of our customers already benefit from cloud-based AEB solutions. Time for the next step: We will move the remaining systems to the AEB Cloud by the end of 2026. This has many benefits: For AEB as a cloud company with an interest in remaining innovative and positioning ourselves for the future. And above all for you, our customers, thanks to greater security and more features.

The reasons

• We decided early on to run our own, self-managed data centers – software hosted in Germany. This makes our cloud solutions scalable and reliable, data protection and information security in accordance with ISO 27001 included.
• Operation in the cloud enables features that could not be realized on-premises: for example, secure maintenance intervals with significantly less effort for companies. The use of AI models, scaling options, and global accessibility via single sign-on. And a new user experience with a central AEB account planned for many AEB solutions.
• Operation solely in the cloud enables us to pool our strengths and to better invest in the future.

Our next steps

By the end of 2026, we will have completely replaced on-premises systems with our cloud solutions. AEB will then have successively terminated all on-premises contracts. Of course, we align the migration date with your cloud strategy and offer a customized migration plan for the changeover.

• End of sale: since December 31, 2023. AEB will now focus on the cloud and no longer sell on-premises solutions. This also applies to extensions, additions and new installations.
• End of Life: December 31, 2026, from which point AEB will no longer update or support on-premises solutions.
• Individual (Amendment) terminations: successive. The transformation starts now, therefore AEB is gradually terminating existing contracts and offers cloud applications.

Your next steps

For you, this means that you will no longer be able to use our on-premises solutions from December 31, 2026 at the latest. The following options are available:

• You plan the migration to the cloud with your AEB contact and benefit from completely new possibilities.
