release status 07-30-24, build-ID 2024-07-30-09-29-56:X4_ComplianceEngine.4.0/release%2FMPV_4.4_20240718:3)
The Twenty-First Amendment Regulation to the German Foreign Trade and Payments Ordinance of July 22, 2024 introduces a new numbering scheme for additional nationally listed dual-use goods from Part I Section B of the German export control list. The current official version of the export control list concerned can be found in the Federal Law Gazette as Annex 1 to the 21st Amendment Regulation to the German Foreign Trade and Payments Ordinance of July 17, 2024.
The new numbers have a 6- to 9-digit format and will be valid from July 23, 2024 when the regulation comes into force.
To enable checks based on the new numbering scheme, it was necessary to release a new, updated version of the AEB export control data service.
It is essential that the service pack with the new version is installed in your system. This is the only way you can use the goods numbers in the new format in your checks. Future updates of the data service also require the installation of this service pack.
Here is what you need to do
On-premises installations
If you operate your system in your own data center (on-premises), you are responsible for importing service packs yourself. You must make sure that your IT/administration installs the service pack July 2024 (release status 07-30-24, build-ID 2024-07-30-09-29-56:X4_ComplianceEngine.4.0/release%2FMPV_4.4_20240718:3) as follows:
- If the new dual-use numbers are relevant for you, the service pack must be installed as soon as possible after provision (from 07-30-2024). This is the only way to guarantee correct checks based on the new numbers.
- If the new dual-use numbers are not relevant for you, the service pack must still be installed by September 16, 2024 at the latest. Only this guarantees that future updates to the data service can be taken into account in your checks.
- You can find information on preparing and carrying out a service pack installation here:

If you are still using kernel version 4.3 (service pack version prior to April 2024), the new kernel version 4.4 is automatically installed when you install the current service pack. Your solution will then display the new look and feel. You can find information and learn about system requirements in the following article:

AEB Cloud
If your system is operated in the AEB data center, the latest data service version and all other updates are installed automatically. This means that you do not need to do anything.
If you are interested in switching operations from your data center to the AEB data center, please contact your AEB representative or AEB Customer Support: Contact AEB directly. We look forward to hearing from you!
