Below is a brief overview of changes implemented in IDMS.
Data set updated to EUCDM data requirements
Decl. Type (EU)
- CO and IM are available to select as declaration types. The EU type is no longer valid.
Procedure Types
- Procedure type is moved from item to header level, with new codes available.
- The following codes are supported: H1, H2 and H7.
Location of Goods
The PLDA goods location field is replaced by the following:
- UN/LOCODE: All location codes used in PLDA are considered UN/LO codes. For the time being, they will remain valid.
- Type of location
- A - Designated location
- B - Authorized location
- C - Approved location
- D - Other
- Qualifier of location: will have to be set to "U" (UN/LO code)
Delivery Terms
- Complementary information removed
- Two new fields:
- Place (code) (to provide UN/LO code of a place)
- Country
- The Place field can be used as in PLDA. If the Place field is filled, the Country field must be completed too.
- If Place and Country are provided, Place (code) is not needed.
- Fields can be filled via API, via template/DVI (set delivery terms country) or manually in the application.
Authorization Details
- New field group added
Customs Warehouse Details
- Customs warehouse fields are moved from item to header level and are located on the Customs details sheet under Customs warehouse. Warehouse type and warehouse ID will have to be provided.
Changes to Transport Means Information
- Arrival transport means
- Type of identification added
Document Categories
- Additional document categories are introduced (same as used in AES Export)
- Previous documents: Codes updated, additional data elements changed
- Produced documents
- PLDA produced documents split into 3 categories: supporting documents, additional references, and transport documents.

CUS Code
- New field at item level
Regularization Replaced by Correction
Regularizations as they were available in PLDA are no longer possible. Corrections to a declaration will have to be inserted in the initial declaration, one will no longer receive a second MRN after regularization.
Controls
In IDMS, controls will be communicated within the system. Under PLDA, controls were handled outside of the system via e-mail. The trader will be notified by an IE460 - Import Control Decision Notification message about upcoming controls.
