When printing shipping labels, Carrier Connect attempts to determine a routing for the shipping data entered.
Routings are typically stored as a table in Carrier Connect. For a postal code, they determine an identifier via which sorting and delivery points or hubs the package is to be forwarded to the recipient. This identifier is usually printed as a barcode or sequence of digits on the shipping label.
If no routing could be determined for the inputs, an error is returned. These error messages are usually very general and can have different causes. However, most routing errors can be remedied with corrected information.
Message | Cause | Solution |
"Routing calculation error: No match for address input." | No routing was determined for the address entered. | Check the addresses you have entered. Are the official ISO country codes and city names (not districts) used? |
"Shipping order with SO no. ERP system XXXXX and reference number YYYYY could not be created. No routing zone with matching service code found". |
No routing was determined for the address entered. | Check if the entered postal code exists in the destination country and has been entered correctly. Verify that it is a P.O. box address and that the selected carrier delivers to those addresses. |
"Address input too ambiguous." | No unique routing can be determined for the address entered. | Make sure that the address is correct or try another variant of the address. Compare your entries with similar deliveries that have already been successfully shipped and, if required, supplement your entries. |
