- Persons are needed for the EMCS Submission and EMCS Discharge modules.
Proceed as follows to define a person:
- Go to Master data – companies and open the company.
- Switch to the Employee sheet and create a new employee.
- Complete the fields on the various sheets, then click the Apply button.
- Employees that you have defined on the Employee sheet of a company can then be found in the master data under Persons as well.
- You can also define persons under the Persons master data entry.
Proceed as follows to assign a person to multiple companies:
- Select Master data – Persons and open the person.
- Switch to the Employee in companies sheet.
- Click New to assign this person to a new company. Repeat as needed.
Proceed as follows when an employee has left the company:
- It’s always better to set former employees to Inactive rather than deleting them. That way, you can still track which employees used the application, even if they’re no longer current company employees. This might be important for subsequent customs or tax audits.
- Select Master data – Persons and open the person.
- Under Details, tick the Inactive checkbox.
- The employee will now longer appear in overviews or be marked as inactive. The person’s data remains stored in the background.
