With the August 2023 service pack for the Application Service Manager (ASM), the framework that provides you with our web applications in kernel 4.4 is updated. This update requires a current Chrome browser/WebView (from version 99).
-
If you use mobile devices or mobile applications, such as in the Warehouse Management area or web applications that you launch from ASSIST4, this will require action on your part. Therefore, check the Chrome/WebView version used on your devices and update it according to the AEB system requirements.
Your mobile devices should always be up to date with the latest operating system. For devices running Android 10 or higher versions, this is sufficient to ensure a sufficient Chrome/WebView version on the devices.
Mobile devices that cannot be updated to Android 10 do not come with a sufficient browser version with the operating system. On these devices, update Google Chrome/WebView independently from the Google Play Store. This requires a Google account, which is used to register the devices for access to the Play Store.
To give you enough time to bring your mobile devices up to date, the service pack for ASM will not be installed in the AEB data center until November 2023.
- If you operate the Application Service Manager on-premise and use mobile devices, check and update the devices before installing the February 2024 service pack.
- If you are using the AEB Application Service Manager in the 4.3 kernel, you are not affected by the change.
