Automation rules are a breeze: The new editor in Product Classification

With the new rule editor in Product Classification , it's now even easier to get started with automation rules. The editor guides you step by step through the process of automating recurring tasks, thereby reducing your manual workload.

What are automation rules?

Automation rules allow you to automate the determination of your classification values using rules. An automation rule consists of:

• Conditions (or excluding conditions), e.g., "Material has a specific weight"
• Actions, e.g. "Set a fixed value for a specific classification value"

This allows you to specify the conditions under which a classification value is automatically set or adjusted, without having to check each transaction manually

Getting started with the new editor

• Use a clearly guided introduction to automation without prior knowledge.
• Create rules faster with step-by-step guidance.
• Use templates as a starting point and easily customize them.
• Reduce the amount of manual work involved in recurring tasks.

How to use the new editor

The rule editor will be available to you with the release of the August Feature Pack.

1. Go to Automation – Rules – Automation rules.
2. Create a new rule or select a template if needed.
3. Configure the rule step by step, for example, by adjusting conditions or actions.
4. Enable your rule.
