File transfers via SFTP are carried out in the AEB data center using SSH key authentication. From June 23, 2024, SSH keys with a key length of less than 1024 bits will no longer be supported by AEB systems.
Analyses show that SFTP transfers are still being used that use an SSH key up to 1023 bits long for the connection to the AEB SFTP server. If you use SFTP for file transfer and your SSH keys have a length of 1023 bits or less, you are affected by this change and we ask you to make changes immediately:
- Before June 23, 2024, you must create a new key pair with a key length of 2048 bits or ideally 4096 bits. You will find instructions in the following PDF document: AEB Engines - Connection of host system to AEB data center via SFTP.
Please send the public key to support@aeb.com. AEB will then import this into the system so that the SFTP transfer continues to run smoothly.
To ensure that file transfers are also possible in certain situations, e.g. if another AEB data center has to be used due to a major disruption, AEB also recommends replacing IP addresses with new hostnames: SFTP servers in the AEB Cloud:Replacing IP addresses with new hostnames.
