Favorites give you quick access to overviews and transactions, similar to how you access websites through your web browser using favorites or bookmarks. The Favorites widget on the Desktop helps you manage your favorites.
The following elements are saved with the favorites:
- Overview: search fields, column definitions, layout
- Transaction: previously entered field contents
Creating and opening favorites
You can save overviews or transactions as favorites.
Proceed as follows:
- Open an overview or transaction (example: Master data – Companies).
- In the upper right corner of the overview or transaction, click the Favorites icon .
- In the Favorite window, you have the option to define a description and/or role.
- Click OK.
- Your saved favorites are displayed on the Desktop in the Favorites widget. Click the name of a favorite to open it.
- You can also add a link to a favorite in the form of a separate Desktop tile by going to the Favorites widget and clicking the Favorites icon . To manage (delete, rename, etc.) links, click the gear icon on the Desktop to open the Desktop settings.
Manage favorites in the ‘Favorites’ widget
The Favorites widget lets you quickly access the most frequently used transactions and overviews in the software and manage your favorites.
Click the shortcut menu icon to open the widget settings. Here you have the following options:
- Rename favorites
- Change the order of the favorites – to move more important favorites to the top, for example
- Delete favorites
- Tick the Autostart checkbox for favorites you wish to have automatically open when you open the application.
