The following diagram shows the layout of the Desktop, which you can always reach via the Desktop sheet:
(1) Office
You can open the Office by clicking on the menu icon . Click the name of the file you wish to open (for example: Master data – Companies).
The Office closes as soon as you click anywhere outside of it. This give you more space for the application in which you are currently working.
(2) Desktop
The Desktop contains tiles that you can drag and drop anywhere you like.
A tile can contain a shortcut to an overview, application, or transaction. A tile can also contain a widget – a small application that provides an overview of pending tasks or a shortcut to specific tasks.
(3) User area
The user area shows you the number of unread messages. Click the profile icon to open the menu. There you will see a preview of all messages. From here, you can also log off.
To see an overview of all messages and filter them as needed, click Manage messages. This brings you to the message area.
