Proceed as follows:
- You must first define the package types in the master data: See Defining package types.
- You must have the role of I_CAI_EDITMASTERFILEDATA.
- Go to Master data – Carrier configurations to open a carrier.
- Switch to the Code conversions sheet.
- Click Generate suggestion. If a conversion has already been created, jump to step 4, and open the conversion.
- Open the code conversion.
- You only need to define package type code conversions if the carrier requires it. If, after you click on Generate suggestion, the Package types sheet does not appear, then no conversion is needed. You can then close the conversion or switch to the Terms of delivery sheet to convert the terms of delivery if needed: See Converting terms of delivery.
- On the Package types sheet, check whether all the package types you are using (left column) are included in the conversion list. Click New to add more package types if needed.
- Finish by matching each package type to the appropriate entry in the Carrier package type column.
- If you ship hazardous goods, follow the same process to convert your hazardous goods package types on the Hazardous goods package types sheet.
- Click Save & close to save your changes.
- Repeat these steps if you wish to enter more conversions for other carriers.
