Template selectors define which templates are automatically applied when certain criteria (“conditions”) are met. This enables you to automatically enrich your customs declarations with additional data that is not transferred from your host system.
- Go to Master data – Templates and select the appropriate entry (e.g. Export declaration template selectors).
- To create a new template selector for a template: Click New template selector and select a type.
- To create a new template selector for an item template: Click New item template selector and select a type.
- To open an existing template selector: Select a template selector from the list and click Open.
- Maintain the necessary fields and settings in the Template selector sheet.
- In the Template field, select an existing template or click New to create a new template.
- Newly created (internal) templates are visible only here unless you make the template “public” by going to the template’s Basic data field group and selecting Convert to public template.
- In the Validity field group, define a validity period, if needed. If no period is defined, the template is always valid.
- Switch to the Conditions sheet.
- To add a new condition: In the Conditions field group, click New and select a condition from the list.
- Depending on the condition you select, a window opens in which you can define or configure the condition.
- To add a new exception: In the Exceptions field group, click New and select an exclusion criterion from the list.
- Depending on the exception you select, a window opens in which you can define or configure the exception.
- When you have entered all the data and defined any conditions or exceptions, click Save & Close to finish and save the template selector.
