Template selectors define which templates are automatically applied when certain criteria (“conditions”) are met. This enables you to automatically enrich your customs declarations with additional data that is not transferred from your host system.
Proceed as follows:
- Go to Master data – Templates and select the appropriate entry (e.g. Export declaration template selectors).
- Creating a new template selector for a template: Click New template selector and select a type.
- Create new template selectors for item or customs document templates: Click New item template selector and select a type.
- Open an existing template selector: Select a template selector from the list and click Open.
- Maintain the fields and settings in the Template selector sheet. In the Template field, select an existing template or click New to create a new template.
- Newly created (internal) templates are visible only here unless you make the template “public” by going to the template’s Basic data field group and selecting Make template public.
- In the Validity field group, define a validity period, if needed. If no period is defined, the template is always valid.
- Switch to the Conditions sheet.
- On the Conditions sheet you can define new conditions and exceptions or edit existing conditions.
- Create a new condition: In the Conditions field group, click New and select a condition from the Condition window. Then click OK.
- Depending on the condition you select, a window opens in which you can define the value of the condition.
- Specify a value and click OK.
- Add new exception: In the Exceptions field group, click New and select an exclusion criterion from the Exception window. Then click OK.
- Depending on the exception you select, a window opens in which you can define the value of the exception.
- Specify a value and click OK.
- When you have entered all the data and defined any conditions or exceptions, click Save & Close to finish and save the template selector.
