In your AEB archive, you store data for audits, customs inspections, and other research purposes for the long term (typically 10 years) outside of the operational systems.
To ensure that you can continue to search your data in the archive at high performance, AEB is expanding and converting its archiving infrastructure (Content Storage Engine).
What does this change mean for you?
As a user, you continue to work in the operational systems as usual; nothing changes here. To search archive data, use the corresponding entries under Office – Archive as before.
However, as of April 1, 2023, the archive search applications will offer you a choice as to whether you want to search data before or after April 1, 2023. The archive search application actively informs you about this option by means of a message window.
- Good to know: You do not need new credentials or URLs for this extension. Only the time period for which data is to be searched must be taken into account in the future. Thus, data extracts including April 1, 2023, must be generated once before and once after this date and then merged if necessary.
