• March 2024 update: The implementation of AES Plus has been postponed until October 31, 2024. A transition phase before the new go-live date is not planned.

• November 2023 update: PL customs authorities have published a new announcement, officially confirming that they have delayed the implementation of AES Plus. AEB is in contact with all affected customers to prepare for the migration activities.

Background and timescale for AES Plus

The current AES system for filing export declarations will be replaced by AES Plus. This new system will harmonize the processes to the regulations of the UCC and meet the requirements of the EU Customs Data Model.
This change will affect all users of our Customs Management solution who submit Polish export declarations via the application.

The migration date was originally scheduled for the end of November 2023 but the Polish Ministry Of Finance (MOF) has requested an extension until May 2024. However, Polish customs recently stated in an official announcement that the new AES Plus system might go live in December 2023 instead of May 2024 if technical problems or communication errors are encountered during the first days of December.

Make sure you are ready to move to AES Plus

With the implementation of AES Plus, there will be a few changes to the declaration data that you need to provide for filing export declarations. We therefore ask you to prepare for the migration at an early stage an familiarize yourself with the technical and functional changes on the official PUESC website, especially regarding message specifications.

AEB is currently preparing for the changes in our Customs Management solution. However, the declaration completion instructions haven’t been released by Polish customs yet. We will inform all affected customers about the changes as soon as more details are available.
