Connection of transport service providers: End of maintenance for the BarTender label printing software

In many ASSIST4 Dispatch systems, the "BarTender" software from Seagull is used for label printing.  Support by the vendor for the BarTender v.10.1 version ended on December 31, 2020. If you are using this software version, there is a need for action.

Successor solution successfully in place

The good news: With Carrier Connect, AEB provides an alternative to the BarTender solution. Carrier Connect has already proven itself in numerous projects and offers many advantages. The cloud software includes services for routing data, service areas, service pack installation, current security standards, and label printing software licenses without having to use BarTender. More than 170 parcel services and forwarding agents are already available in Carrier Connect, which you can use easily.

End of maintenance of the ASSIST4 transport service provider modules

The changeover to Carrier Connect is also worthwhile due to the fact that - as already announced - the transport service provider modules of ASSIST4 Dispatch will only be  maintained and supported by AEB until March 31, 2022. 

We therefore urgently recommend that you plan to replace the transport service provider modules.
