To be able to define manual restrictions, first maintain the following master data.
- Jurisdictions: Jurisdictions in combination with manual restrictions let you customize the rules that are applied during checks. In addition to the jurisdictions such as EU or US EAR provided by the AEB data service, you can create your own jurisdictions and define manual restrictions for them.
- Value lists: Here you can define goods attribute lists for various product attributes. Certain value lists give you the added option of defining which values are available in specific drop-down lists.
- Goods attributes: Goods attributes are classifiers of goods – export control numbers, goods numbers, material numbers, etc. The master data already contains the most common goods attributes. The field Possible values lets you define the type of values that goods attributes can have. Here you can also select a product list from the Product lists master data or a value list from the Value lists master data.
- Further information on master data can be found under Master data.
