Entering licenses

Proceed as follows:

• You must have the LM master data maintenance role.
• The required license type must already exist.
1. Select License Management − Licenses.
2. Click on the New button and select the type of license.
   • License Management also automatically applies the country from the license type to the license.
3. Complete the data of the various field groups and sheets. The Assistant will guide you.
   • Fields that are used during the export control check to check the validity of licenses are marked with an asterisk.
   • Under Details, please note the Decrement type field when entering items. This field determines whether and on what basis approvals will subsequently decrement this item so that you can track how much of the quantity has already been used.
4. Click Save & close to save the license.
