Why is an account blocked?
For security reasons, a user account will be blocked after a period of 180 days of inactivity (i.e. without direct login). The system will send a reminder email to the user, via their registered email address, asking the user to log in once to avoid automatic blocking. If the user does not log in when reminded, their account will be blocked automatically.
How is an account unblocked?
When using a cloud application in the AEB data centre, it is each company’s responsibility to manage their own user’s access, and reactivate accounts.
The user should contact their internal user administration who have the knowledge, rights (I_CLIENTADMIN role) and responsibility to unblock their user account so that they can log in to the AEB application again.
User administration rights
- It is essential to ensure that your company has at least 2 users with user administration rights (I_CLIENTADMIN role) to ensure that cover is available during absence.
Users with the I_CLIENTADMIN role can unblock a user’s account. The steps to do this can be found in the article: Locking and unlocking a user.
For further information on user management see Self-managing access to AEB web applications.
Assigning user administration rights
To assign the I_CLIENTADMIN role to an additional user:
Go to User administration > Users and open the user record. Select the Roles tab and click Add. Ensure that the System roles option is ticked, select the I_CLIENTADMIN role from the list and click Apply.
If there are no valid users with user administration rights
If there are currently no users at your company with the I_CLIENTADMIN role, the user who requires user administration rights will need to contact AEB support to request that the I_CLIENTADMIN role is assigned to them.
When the request is sent, written confirmation of the following two points is required:
-
Authorisation
I am authorised to do this on behalf of the specified company in a legally binding manner. -
Responsibility
I am aware that I am responsible for granting access to the specified application for authorized users only. AEB may refer any inquiries regarding user or password management from employees of the specified company to me.
