With the August 2022 and subsequent service packs, AEB will roll out several optimizations regarding Good Guy lists. This will affect your existing configurations of the “Checking Good Guys” batch.
After installing the update you can look forward to an improved performance and optimized overview of configuration options and check settings for the “Checking Good Guys” batch and the Good Guy lists. From now on, all Good Guy lists of all clients in your system will be checked in a single “Checking Good Guys” batch using the stored check settings.
- If your Compliance Screening application runs in the AEB data center, AEB has already made the necessary changes for you.
- If you operate Compliance Screening as an on-premise installation on your own server, it is important that you check your configurations of the “Checking Good Guys” batches according to the following steps before installing the new service pack and make any necessary adjustments.
- Once you install the August 2022 and subsequent service packs, there should be only one active “Checking Good Guys” batch, otherwise the performance of your AEB application will be severely affected.
Before installation of the August 2022 service pack
- For this, admin access with the role I_ADMIN is required.
- Check if you have multiple “Checking Good Guys” batches:
Go to Administration – Background calls – Batches. In the overview, filter by the “Checking Good Guys” Batch type.
If only one result of the “Checking Good Guys” type is shown, you can install the August 2022 and subsequent service packs.
Continue reading in the next section “After installation of the August 2022 service pack” at step 2. - If more than one result is shown here, document the following settings: On the Batch sheet, the Repetition pattern and on the Configurations sheet the clients, profiles, Good Guy list, and alarm action:
- Delete the inactive batches as they have no functionality.
This increases the clarity for the further steps. - If you have multiple active “Checking Good Guys” batches, the configurations must be consolidated into a single “Checking Good Guys” batch.
After the optimization has been rolled out, all Good Guy lists with an active check profile will be checked in each run of the “Checking Good Guys” batch, so configuring multiple “Checking Good Guy” batches is no longer necessary and offers no advantage.
- Delete the inactive batches as they have no functionality.
After installation of the August 2022 service pack
- For this, admin access with the role I_ADMIN is required.
- If you have not already done so, check whether multiple “Checking Good Guys” batches exist as described in step 1 of the section "Before installation of the August 2022 service pack".
If this is the case, make sure that only one active “Checking Good Guys” batch with adjusted repetition pattern remains, and remove all others.
In the future, all Good Guys lists with an active check profile will be checked in each run of the “Checking Good Guys” batch, eliminating the need to configure multiple “Checking Good Guys” batches. - In the “Checking Good Guys” batch, you will now find a cross-client overview of all Good Guy lists on the Parameters sheet. It displays for each Good Guy list whether the check is active, as well as with which profile and alarm action it is performed.
Make sure that the settings meet your requirements.
- Only those Good Guy lists are checked that are explicitly displayed in the parameters of the batch and for which the check is active.
- If the deletion and check settings of a Good Guy list are not ideal for you or you want to change them later, open them in one of the following two ways:
- In the office, go to Compliance Screening – Good Guy lists.
- Open the Good Guy list.
- In the office, go to Administration – Compliance – Profiles and open the relevant profile.
- There, switch to Screening lists.
- Open the Good Guy list.
- In the profile, you can also add or remove created Good Guy lists, for example.
