The next steps vary for EMCS (DE) and EMCS (UK), depending on the status of the EMCS movement (submission) from which you started the fallback procedure.
EMCS (DE): Fallback procedure started from “Complete” status
You must electronically transmit the draft e-AD/e-SAD to the customs office as soon as the EMCS is working again.
Proceed as follows:
- Open the EMCS movement (submission) with the status of Deferred message required.
- Use the Assistant to transmit the message N_EAD_SUB (draft e-AD/e-SAD) to customs.
- Edit this EMCS movement (submission) the same as any other.
EMCS (DE): Fallback procedure started from “Sent” status
Once the EMCS system is working again, you’ll receive a message from customs for the original EMCS movement (submission). The status then changes to Valid. Change the destination of this EMCS movement to your own location.
Proceed as follows:
- Open the original EMCS movement (submission) with the status of Valid.
- Change the destination to your location: Changing the destination of EMCS submissions.
EMCS (UK): Fallback procedure started from “Sent” or “Complete” status
