In Compliance Screening, you can additionally screen your business partners against embargo areas such as the Crimea, Luhansk, or Donetsk which you define yourself by specifying the country, postal code zones, or city names. Alternatively, you can also enter entire countries as embargo areas.
Time and again, companies are faced with the challenge of having to check business partner addresses that could be located in embargo areas. This could affect parts of Mexico or Ukraine, for example. With Compliance Screening you have the possibility to define embargo areas.
If the address data of a screened address matches one of the embargo areas, this leads to an address match in the application.
- Prerequisite for the maintenance of areas and the inclusion of areas in the compliance profile are administrator rights with the I_COMPLIANCEADMIN role.
Defining an area
To enter the embargo areas, go to Master data – Compliance and select Areas. Click New.
Enter the area name on the Area sheet and the Country code and the Postal code zone on the Postal code zones sheet. If necessary, enter a name on the Cities sheet.
Here is an example for how the sanctioned regions can be mapped as an area:
Adding an area in the check profile
To use the defined area in Compliance Screening, first go to Compliance and open the Profiles.
Add the newly created area on the Screening lists sheet in the Embargo areas field group.
There, you can select the newly created area. Here is an example for Donetsk and Luhansk with the DNR_LNR ID:
