Authorization for web services (APIs) changed and conversion to REST format
UPS has changed the authorization for its web services (APIs):
- Previously, the web services were licensed via access keys.
- In the future, authorization will take place via a virtual token that needs to be requested from UPS via a web service.
In addition, the UPS web services must be converted to the REST format.
Deadline: Migration to OAuth by August 5, 2024
The changeover to the new OAuth authorization must be completed by August 5, 2024. After this date, it will no longer be possible to use the UPS web services mentioned below with the old access keys.
