Shipping to Romania with Carrier Connect: RO e-Transport and UIT code

From July 1, 2024, the transport of goods to, from, and through Romania will be monitored via the electronic “RO e-Transport” system. RO e-Transport generates a UIT code to identify and monitor consignments with a high tax risk. Under certain conditions, the UIT code must accompany the goods in electronic or physical form with the consignment documents.

How to transmit the UIT code electronically with Carrier Connect

The transport service providers are currently implementing the requirements, but the solutions vary. For Carrier Connect, we develop the respective solutions step-by-step in close cooperation with the transport service providers. One possible variant would be to enter the UIT code as additional information in a note text.
