Why did I receive another EGZ from the customs office?

In ATLAS, the items from clearance notifications (AZ) or simplified customs declarations (vZA) are always combined into a single supplementary customs declaration (EGZ) if the split criteria are identical.

To view the split criteria, open an EGZ and locate the Split criteria section of the Basic data tab.

If the items from the simplified declarations are to be allocated to different EGZs depending on the department, then activate the Department option (set Department to “Split criterion”) in the authorization for simplified procedures. Go to Master data > Authorizations > Simplified procedures (SDE/EIR) and then open the authorization. On the Authorization tab, the Department field is located in the ATLAS section.

The simplified authorizations also serve as a split criterion for the assignment to the EGZ: For different authorizations, Import Filing: ATLAS creates different EGZs.

• Please note: A new EGZ is also created if you have already completed an EGZ and then post further items with the same split criteria.
