In Import Filing: ATLAS, the items from the clearance notifications (AZ) or simplified customs declarations (vZA) are always combined into a single supplementary customs declaration (EGZ) if their split criteria are identical. If these details differ, ATLAS creates multiple supplementary customs declarations.
The split criteria can be seen in an open EGZ on the Basic data tab. From the Office menu, go to Import > Declarations > Supplementary customs declarations. Open a declaration and go to the Split criteria section of the Basic data tab.
Split Criterion: Subject Area
If the items from the AZ or vZA are to be assigned to different EGZs depending on the subject area, then select a split criterion option from the Department field in the ATLAS section of the simplified procedure authorization. See article: Authorizations for Simplified and Local Clearance Procedures (SDE/EIR).
Split Criterion: Inward Processing
In a customs clearance notification for inward processing (AZ AV), enter the AV authorization on the Basic data tab in addition to the authorization for the simplified procedure. The authorization number for inward processing serves as a split criterion for the assignment to the supplementary customs master declaration for inward processing. If you use different authorizations for inward processing, multiple EGZs (AV) are created in Import Filing: ATLAS.
Please note: A new EGZ is also created if you have already completed an EGZ and afterwards post additional items with the same split criteria.
