By editing the whitelist, you edit the sanctions list in your system. You decide that a match you receive does not match the address entry on the sanctions list and manually remove that address from the sanctions list. As a consequence, addresses on a whitelist are no longer included in any screening. It’s as if you had deleted the address from the restricted party list.
- This task can only be performed by a user who has the I_WHITELISTDEF role in Compliance Screening. Read more about the different roles in Compliance Screening in the article Predefined roles of the user administration.
This can be useful if, for example, the entries are generic, such as the vessel name "CHRISTINA", which is on the American SDN list. As a result, all business partners with the first name "Christina" will be reported as matches. Therefore, if you decide that you do not have or will not have business relations with the vessel "CHRISTINA", it may be helpful to add this entry to the whitelist and therefore exclude it from the check.
