Alternative: Creating an application for an export license from a log entry

If you have already run an export control check for the transaction and a log entry has been created in the export control logs, you can also create the export license application directly from the log entry.

The application will be populated with all the data from the log entry.

Proceed as follows:

• You must be logged in as an administrator (I_ADMIN role) or have the LM master data maintenance role.
  The I_ADMIN role is available only with on-premise installations.
1. Go to Export Controls – Logs and open a log entry (with the type of License requirement, for example).
2. Switch to the Items sheet.
3. Select the items for which you wish to create an ELAN-K2 application.
4. Click the Create ELAN-K2 transaction button and specify the scope: selected items or all items.
5. Select the transaction type, such as Application for export/movement license, NLR notification. Click OK to confirm:
   • A new ELAN-K2 transaction opens.
