Finalizing an approval

To prevent you from changing a completed delivery that has already crossed the border, the status of an approval changes to Finalized, making its content write-protected. Being finalized means that the quantities or values on the license switch from the status of reserved to irrevocably booked.

• If your approvals are not automatically finalized by the host system, AEB recommends finalizing them manually to help you keep track of things.

Proceed as follows:

• You must have either the LM master data administration or Approval management role.
1. Go to License Management − Approvals and open an approval.
2. Go to the Basic data sheet, Status field, Finalized entry.
3. Click Save and close to close the approval.
